On  Friday April 24th, 2026  a select group of fantastic MJC Speakers will gather in Founders Hall on MJC's East Campus to compete in a series of events including Informative and Persuasive Speaking, SPAR Style Debate, and a Story Slam.  Entry requires nomination by a MJC Communication Studies Professor.  Reach out to one of them for more information! View past winners here.

• 12:30 pm - 12:45 pm - Registration for Informative and SPAR Participants

• 1:00 pm Informative Preliminary Round & SPAR Debate R1

• 1:45 pm- 2:00 pm Late Registration for Persuasive and Story Slam Participants 

• 2:15 pm Persuasive and Story Slam Preliminary Round & SPAR Debate R2

• 3:45 pm Final Rounds - ALL Events

• ~5:15pm Awards (ASAP after final rounds)
