Dear Colleagues,

UCSD Speech and Debate cordially invites you to join us on our campus for our first-ever tournament, the Cove Classic. This will be held from January 31st to February 1st. We will offer Open, Junior, and Novice division competition in IPDA, NPDA, NFA-LD, all eleven AFA individual events, and Cultural Artifact (depending on entries). We will also offer a Pro division in IPDA and an Open division in TPDA.

This tournament is very special to us because it will honor our Vice President, Coach, friend, and brother, Sibi Sivaram. Sibi’s all-around love for both speech and debate events has inspired us to offer the “Sibi Sivaram Sweepstakes Award” in his honor to celebrate the student with the highest individual sweepstakes points.

Lunch will be offered on Saturday and Sunday for both competitors and judges, and an assortment of breakfast foods will be available for judges.
